Studio Program

Ages 13-18

Teens and advancing students

Each student in the Studio Program will receive weekly INDIVIDUAL LESSONS and monthly STUDIO CLASSES. Individual lessons are 45-75 minutes, determined by age and repertoire.

Students will work on developing sight-reading skills, musical expression, a fine sense of intonation and rhythm, and independent practice techniques.

In individual lessons, they will learn how to break their repertoire into efficient practice sections, work on individual techniques, understand musical ideas in their repertoire, develop independent practice habits, and build problem-solving skills.

These musicians will participate in monthly studio classes which will comprise of masterclasses, music theory, performance/audition techniques, and sight-reading chamber music.

Students in the studio program perform yearly solo recitals. They may also participate in group and outreach concerts if they can attend all rehearsals.
